The Observer-Dispatch is seeking a skilled Department Administrator to join our team of advertising and marketing professionals. Qualified applicants will have at least three years' experience as an Administrative or Executive Assistant, be highly efficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, Outlook), be well organized, a multi-tasker, professional, courteous and dedicated to providing excellent support.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with minimum supervision in a high energy, fast paced environment.
Must be efficient and accurate in preparing documents, coordinating events and managing databases.
Must have demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
Duties: Provide administrative support; assemble confidential and sensitive information, maintain mailing lists, databases, a library, and assist in keeping the office running smoothly. Will prepare documents, correspondence, charts, tables, graphs, etc. as needed, professionally answer and direct incoming calls, handle sensitive contacts with outside individuals, vendors, and professionals. Organize and complete projects as assigned.
Education: College highly desired, high school diploma required.
