Michael Reed became GateHouse Media Chief Executive Officer in February 2006. He was formerly the President and CEO of Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc. ("CNHI") and had served in that capacity since 1999. Mr. Reed served as CNHI's CFO from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, he worked for Park Communications, Inc., a multimedia company located in Ithaca, New York.  Mr. Reed currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Newspaper Association of America, the Associated Press and the Star Tribune in Minneapolis.

Melinda Janik became Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in February 2009.  She formerly served as an officer and Vice President and Controller of Paychex, Inc., a provider of payroll and human resource services, from March 2005 to January 2009. Prior to joining Paychex, Inc., she served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Glimcher Realty Trust, a mall Real Estate Investment Trust based in Columbus, Ohio, from July 2002 to March 2004. From February 1999 to July 2002 Ms. Janik was Vice President and Treasurer of NCR Corporation, a technology company based in Dayton, Ohio. She holds an MBA in finance and accounting and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Kirk Davis became President and Chief Operating Officer in January 2009 . Prior to joining GateHouse Media, he was CEO of Enterprise NewsMedia LLC in Quincy, MA from 2004 to 2006.   From 2001-2004 he oversaw many publications in New England for Cracked Rock Media, Inc. and Turley Publications.  In 1996 Mr. Davis was recruited by a division of Fidelity Investments to become President of Community Newspaper Company.  Mr. Davis held various position with Ingersoll Publications from 1985 to 1996.  He began his career at the Lancaster (OH) Eagle-Gazette in 1981 and held various position at the local paper as well as with the paper’s parent company, Thomson Newspapers.

Michael Moreau joined GateHouse Media in July 2011 and currently serves as Vice President of Digital.  He is responsible for digital strategy, operations, product, and development. Prior to GateHouse Media, Michael was co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of ReviNet, a sell-side adverting platform acquired by PubMatic in May 2011.  Before the launch of ReviNet, he spent over 7 years at Boston.com, most recently in the digital sales group as the Senior Manager of Digital Revenue. Michael began his career with Arthur Andersen, LLP.

David Arkin became Vice President of Content & Audience for GateHouse Media in January 2012. He oversees all matters related to print and online content, strategy, and online development and support related to the company’s content management system. For the last five years, he served as the executive director of the News & Interactive Division for GateHouse Media. Prior to that, he served as the executive editor of Greater Niagara Newspapers (Niagara Falls, N.Y.) and served as the top editor for the Cullman Times (Ala.), the Porterville Recorder (Calif.) and the Huntsville Item (Texas).

Brad Harmon became Vice President of Sales and Marketing in January 2010.  Prior to joining GateHouse Media, he was Director of Sales and Marketing of the Portland Oregonian from 2006 – 2009.  From 1995 – 2006 he worked for Gannett, Inc as Vice President of Sales in Rochester, NY,  and Director of Sales in both Indianapolis and Cincinnati.  Mr. Harmon held various positions with Thompson publications from 1989 – 1995.  He started his career in 1982 in Willoughby, Ohio with The News Herald.

Paul Ameden has been GateHouse Media Chief Information Officer since October 2006. Prior to joining GateHouse Media, Mr. Ameden held the position of VP, Professional Services and CIO for Element K Corporation in Rochester, NY since 2000.  Mr. Ameden served as Director of Professional Services for Questra Corporations’ Relationship Management Practice.  From 1988 to 1996 Mr. Ameden held numerous positions at Eastman Kodak Corporation.

Mark Maring is the Company's Treasurer and VP of  Investor Relations and Strategic Development.  He joined the Company in March 2008.  He was formerly a Vice President of Mendon Capital Advisors Corp, a registered investment advisor, from 2004 through March 2008 .  Prior to Mendon Capital Advisors Corp he held various finance and accounting roles at Constellation Brands, Arthur Andersen and The Chase Manhattan Bank.

Laura Williams is Vice President of Human Resources for GateHouse Media. She joined the company in January 2006.  Prior to joining GateHouse Media, she held various finance positions with Vulcan Materials Co. from 1997–2005. Prior to Vulcan Materials, she was with Uarco Business Forms, Arlington Metals and the Goodman Theatre. She holds an MBA from North Central College and a bachelor’s degree from The University of Evansville.

Polly G. Sack became our General Counsel in May 2006. She was formerly Senior Vice President and Director of Mergers and Acquisitions of IMG Worldwide, Inc. ("IMG"), a global sports, media and entertainment company, and had served in that capacity since 2001. Ms. Sack also served as IMG's associate counsel and a vice president from 1992 to 2001. Prior to that, she worked in private practice for a major international law firm. Ms. Sack holds bachelor's degrees in civil engineering and mathematics and a master's degree in civil engineering, in addition to a law degree.
