Online Sales Manager
Open date: 2009/10/08The Atlantic Region, which includes 23 business units (dailies, weeklies, pennysavers, websites) in NY, PA and WV, is recruiting for an Online Sales Manager to help transform our print-centric sales culture and improve our performance in Online revenue.
This position is based out of our office in Canandaigua, NY and will be a member of our region's executive management team.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating online sales training onsite with local publishers and ad sales teams.
- Coordinating efforts and developing plans with our corporate online team to make sure sales strategies and training efforts are consistent across each business unit.
- Partnering with publishers, local sales teams and corporate to drive online revenue and profitability across each sales channel.
- Leading and assisting with the implementation of new business plans and technology across the region to grow revenue and profitability.
- Analyzing and communicating the details and metrics underneath online performance on a weekly and monthly basis, leveraging the data to improve performance.
Requirements:
- Consistent travel (75% of time) to each business unit and cluster.
- Self-disciplined, effective time management skills.
- Proven experience as a leader in Sales - must be willing to sell and lead by example on the front line of our sales operations.
We expect to grow online revenue by at least 50% in 2010.
