The Ridgecrest Daily Independent, a publication part of GateHouse Media, Inc., is seeking an experienced advertising/marketing director. The successful candidate will possess strong sales skills and will direct a staff of four with expansion on the horizon. In addition the advertising director will also be responsible for hiring, coaching, training, department budgeting and department goals as well as project management. The newspaper is a five day a week publication (Tuesday-Weekend edition) in a city that is enjoying growth with the addition of 1,100 military jobs. In addition to the core newspaper we also produce several special sections and a tourism guide. The advertising director will also manage our on-line sales and production.
