Human Resources Director

GateHouse Media, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Director

The Rockford Register Star has an immediate opening for a professional to manage its’ human resources department. The selected candidate will be responsible for human resources policies, programs, staffing, planning and organizational changes. The HR Director also serves on the Operating Committee and plays a key role in the company’s strategic planning and management activities. Establishing business partnerships across departments to align human resource programs with the organization's strategic direction and business goals is needed for success.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, 8 years generalist experience and 5 years HR management experience, including 3 years experience partnering with top department managers. Newspaper experience preferred. Will consider more experience in lieu of college degree. SPHR/PHR certification desirable.
