Job Description
GateHouse Media, Inc., one of the country's leading local media companies, is seeking an experienced IT Auditor. Reporting to the Director of Internal Audit, this is an outstanding opportunity to make a tremendous impact on a growing company.
Responsibilities
- Develop IT audit programs and execute related audits;
- Work closely with management and business units to identify risks, evaluate adequacy of current controls and make recommendations to strengthen controls, minimize risks, and maximize efficiencies;
- Perform Sarbanes-Oxley 404 testing of IT General Computer Controls. Appropriately identify exceptions and communicate to audit team and management;
- Work with audit team to perform other compliance-related audits such as those associated with system implementations and IT-related aspects of business process audits;
- Assist the audit team in obtaining systems data required for financial data analysis;
- Participate in drafting internal audit reports of findings and recommendations
Requirements
- BS or Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Accounting, Economics, Finance or other related field required;
- 3+ years of public accounting or industry auditing experience preferred, along with CPA, CIA or CISA credential;
- Sound understanding of information technology controls;
- Working knowledge of COSO, COBIT, and IT best practices;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Strong verbal and written communications skills;
- Ability to travel domestically
