Sean McDonnell, chief revenue officer at GateHouse Media New England,
will join Propel Marketing as senior vice president of sales,
effective April 1.
For the past two years, McDonnell has led the GHMNE transformation to
a true multimedia sales force. In his new role at Propel Marketing,
McDonnell will be responsible for Propel sales across all channels -
direct sales, GateHouse local market sales and third-party re-seller
partners. He will work closely with GateHouse publishers and regional
sales leaders to maximize Propel revenues throughout the company.
Propel, based in Quincy, Mass., provides internet marketing solutions
for small to medium sized businesses.
Prior to joining GateHouse, McDonnell was co-founder and president of
ReviNet, a digital start-up focusing on premium network optimization
solutions. He built a partner network of hundreds of local media
properties prior to Pubmatic’s acquisition of Revinet in 2011. Before
launching ReviNet, he led online display sales for Boston.com from
2005 through 2008. He has spent the last 18 years working in both the
traditional and digital advertising space in various sales & sales

becomes senior vice president/general manager of Propel Marketing. Eck
will be responsible for product, development, operations, training and
