Account Executive

GateHouse Media is seeking an Account Executive to join its new private ad exchange team and generate new business from other media websites.  The person filling this role should be familiar with digital display advertising, ad exchanges, networks, and publishers.

Responsibilities

• Recruit other websites to join the 400+ GateHouse properties in the company’s private ad exchange.
• Find new prospects for the private exchange, including sites outside of the newspaper industry.
• Leverage GateHouse Media’s existing contacts to grow the base of sites in the private exchange.
• Educate clients on private exchanges and the unique value proposition of GateHouse Media’s private ad exchange.
• Sell new products to customers and prospects.

Qualifications 

• A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or other related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales role.
• Knowledge of digital advertising is a must.
• Extra consideration given to those with ad network, exchange, or programmatic buying experience. 
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment.
• Knowledge of current trends in digital publishing and advertising. 
• Ability to thrive in a start-up environment within a large media company.

The Account Executive will be based in Needham, MA and report to the VP of Digital.
