Rockford Register Star seeking editor for premium editions (Ill.)

The Rockford Register Star, a Gatehouse Media company, has an immediate opportunity available for an experienced editor to manage the Register Star's stable of 10 yearly premium editions and their accompanying websites and social media activity, as well as Rockford Parent magazine and regularly scheduled special sections.

The successful candidate must be creative and a critical thinker capable of working in a fast-paced multimedia environment. The Premium Content Editor will be responsible for recruiting and retaining a pool of freelance writers to produce content for these editions, and must possess strong writing, editing and digital skills. Good interpersonal communications skills are essential.

The Register Star is a 50,000-circulation newspaper in northern Illinois. Our website, rrstar.com, averages nearly 4 million page views each month.

Rockford is a growing market of more than 300,000 and within easy driving distance of Chicago, Milwaukee and Madison.
